Mr Wagyu wins at Glorious Goodwood
Mr Wagyu won effortlessly at Glorious Goodwood in the Unibet Stewards' Sprint Handicap. Trained by John and Sean Quinn, ridden to an easy victory by Jason Heart. He went off at 16/1 in the market, defeating a field of 24 horses.
The gelding was brought at GOFFS November sale, pinhooked by Rathmore Stud, then sold through Trickledown Stud at the GOFFS Premier sale. The 6-year-old gelding by Coolmore Australia’s Choisir out of a Haatef mare, Lake Louise. Mr Wagyu was purchased for £26k by Sean Quin and Richard Knight for The New Century Partnership.
An impressive 5th victory this season, with 13 wins under his belt overall. His whole career shows a placing strike rate of 53%. Mr Wagyu’s success has made him a fantastic flag bearer of the pinhooking operation at Rathmore Stud.
