The McCoy Awards
Honeysuckle wins "Horse Of The Season", sponsored by Sporting Life, and Rachael Blackmore wins "Racing Ride Of The Year", sponsored by Natural Green, at the McCoy Awards last night.
The mare was voted by a panel of judges to be the "Horse Of The Season", and finds herself in the company of Altior, 2019, Mighte Bite, 2018, and One For Aurthur, 2017, who have all won the prize previously.
Rachael Blackmore won the 2021 "Racing Ride Of The Year" due to her 2021 Grand National victory on Minella Times. She is in the company of Nico De Boinville, 2019, Patrick Mullins, 2018, and Adrian Heskin, 2017.
The McCoy Awards recognise the best of the best in Jumps Racing. The achievements are measured between July 1st 2020 and April 24th 2021, on the Jockey Club Racecourses. The event was sadly cancelled last year due to the Pandemic.
A really fabulous night recognising the achievements of Honeysuckle and Rachael.
